TTalk Service

In OLab3, our Turk Talk widgets provided some neat functionality and allowed some quite flexible case designs that incorporated Natural Language Processing (NLP).

There is more information on how this worked in OLab3 here: https://openlabyrinth.ca/openlabyrinth-does-natural-language/ and for more info on how to use TTalk, check out this page: https://openlabyrinth.ca/using-a-turk-talk-scenario/

In OLab4.6, the TTalk service has been redesigned and is much more powerful. As well as the text-based chat with a facilitator, it will also support chatbot integration. Check out this widget here:

TTalk is designed as a separate service which gives us quite a bit more flexibility in terms of integration. This also allows us to add some new features to TTalk such as redirectable navigation: this means that the path taken by a user can be modified on-the-fly, either manually by a facilitator or automatically according to pre-set rules or Script Objects.
