Releases, versions, roadmaps and timelines (which of course we won't stick to).
There is a separate Course about What's New in OLab 4.5 -- this has been set up a Course that you can login to because we also want to pick your brains about future development ideas.
If you are just looking for general info about OLab4 releases etc, you can find this at https://olab.ca/

The team has made great progress on Olab4.5 - it is now running in alpha mode at https://dev.olab.ca and we shortly should be able to open it up so you can poke under the hood.
We had to change our supporting framework because we were running into too many roadblocks with Entrada. We are now using the .Net framework which has significantly accelerated development in quite a few areas.
It runs way faster but we have been able to retain the reliability of the server. If you are interested in beta testing then contact us through the usual channels. More news soon!
The Importer is now working pretty well. This allows authors to upload OLab3 case materials to OLab4.
It is not yet properly integrated into the interface but this should happen shortly.

Oh, this has been so long in coming. Big changes.
OLab 4.6 is now up and running. Seems to be quite stable.
Sorry that this took so long but we had to do a complete rewrite on the Player engine. This is now based on the .NET framework rather than PHP, where we were running into too many problems. However, the .NET environment has proven to be much more stable. It has also allowed us to integrate some much needed functionality around IAMS (Identity Access Management Systems) stuff and role-based access.
The model continues to use a Single Page Architecture, which has lots of advantages and that we will get into in our more technical forums.

For users, this means more responsive forms and widgets, and much speedier response times as the user load climbs.
Cases created in OLab3 can be imported into OLab 4.6 -- the Import tool still needs a bit of buffing up but should be available soon.
If you want to try out some cases, you can either do it from this Moodle site, or by going to our new OLab 4.6 demo server - user 'guest' as username and password.
